Master in Assessment in Health Professions Education
University of Minho, alongside the National Board of Medical Examiners, has designed a Master's Degree that brings together experts in health professions. This Master's purpose is to create an international community committed to implementing innovative, high-quality, personalized and interactive assessment systems.
The Master is aimed at educators in health profession areas, motivated to lead change by planning and implementing pedagogical projects in the educational institutions where they work.
The Master's will create a community of international practice focused on the development of pedagogical innovations in the health area and will provide access to an international network of leading researchers in education in the health professions.

What preparation will the master give you?
This Master's degree will allow you to better identify and apply scientific evidence in the assessment and training in health professions.
To develop and implement intervention projects aligned with their local context and needs, focusing on renovating reality.
To develop lifelong learning trajectories in order to obtain scholarships in Health Professions Training, assuming a leadership role in their institutions.
To become an active member of our community, contributing to the development of new students in subsequent editions of the program.

John Norcini, PhD is President Emeritus of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER®), Research Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Upstate Medical University, Affiliate Professor at the University of Minho, and a Fellow of Presence (a Center at Stanford Medical School). Prior to FAIMER, Dr. Norcini held several positions at the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has more than 200 publications, lectured and taught in more than 45 countries, and is on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals. He is an honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and the Academy of Medical Educators and has received numerous awards including the Karolinska Prize for Research in Medical Education and the Hubbard Award.
